FEATURED ARTIST - JENNIFER LILYA

My illustration process is quite free & intuitive. I try to keep my sketches energized & loose within the parameters of any assignment. Many wild variations result in this , and among them is always one my client uses.

Lilya's clients include Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Deutsch, Inc. in New York City. Lilya is an alumna of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, with a BFA in fashion illustration.

"I was looking for someone to illustrate the elegant facade of an upscale jewelry and fashion emporium. Lilya's stylish and spontaneous brushstroke brought a fresh perspective to the project, plus she is a pleasure to work with."

Jack Lanza, Creative Director, Senior Vice President, APCO Worldwide

Lilya’s clients include California Closets, Tommy Hilfiger & Deutsch, Inc. She recently illustrated “The Pain of Being Vain” which was shown at the 2004 Frankfurt Book Fair. Lilya specializes in fashion, accessories and inspired lettering &calligraphy. “I absolutely adore illustrating fashion; it’s illustration in its freest form – quick, elegant, sometimes witty. My biggest inspirations are Rene Gruau, Joe Eula & Antonio – all used brilliant line quality & brush strokes of vivid color. Combining their inspiration with the gorgeous designs of today makes my work stand out – it’s old school flair with a modern edge,” she remarks.

“In an effort to widen our appeal, we were looking for illustrations that would masterfully interpret corresponding lifestyle photographs, offering an alternate perspective. Lilya’s work fit our needs perfectly, and the experience went above and beyond our expectations with additional illustrative concepts and incredibly responsive communication.”

Kimberly Woodland, Art Director,
